Werner Pack-Tour M

Werner Pack-Tour M 4-piece Adjustable Length Paddle

An ideal all-purpose packrafting paddle, combining a super tough fiberglass touring style blade with a lightweight round carbon shaft that comes in two lengths (200-215cm or 210-225cm). Use the shorter length for river running and moving water, or the longer length for flat-water, ocean, or lake touring.

Weight: 200-215cm (920g), 210-225cm (970g)

We collaborated with Werner to design the Pack-Tour M as the ideal all-purpose packrafting paddle. Werner’s 4-piece system easily breaks down to stow away when you are hiking and the adjustable shaft system allows for on the go length changes for the variety of conditions you’ll face on the water. The design and construction is light weight, while rugged and ready to be tested along with the will to keep pushing forward. Werner’s meticulous, handcrafted construction is second to none and all of their paddles are manufactured in Sultan, WA.

The Pack-Tour M’s adjustable length is designed to allow the paddler to switch between the shorter length for tighter moving water like streams and rivers and open water like lakes, bays, and oceans. The Pack-Tour M is available in two sizes (200-215cm and 210-225cm) with shorter length being better for primarily river travel and the longer size better for primarily open water travel. While all Werner paddles are very strong, the Pack-Tour M is considered a touring blade and not recommended for whitewater.  If whitewater is your intended use, we recommend take a look at the Werner Sherpa, or the Aqua-Bound Shred Carbon paddles.

Compared with the Sawyer Cedar Surge II, the Pack-Tour M is slightly heavier and has a more durable blade, while the Cedar Surge II offers infinite feather and length adjustment.

  • Made in Sultan, Washington
  • 4-piece breakdown operates with hand fitted joints at the center and both blades and are held tightly in place with stainless steel buttons. This system is proven for decades, is easy to use and has a precise fit.
  • Premium performance gives you the right combination of light weight, stiffness and durability. Fiberglass blades and carbon shaft keep weight to a minimum, for when counting ounces is a priority.
  • Dihedral shape allows for smooth and stable forward paddling, a core philosophy for Werner.
  • Mid-sized high angle blades fit the widest range of paddlers
  • Custom shaped, low profile, reinforcement spine allows for enhanced blade maneuverability when linking several strokes and provides blade stiffness and overall strength.
  • Designed for light swing weight and impact resistance, to accommodate both open water and moving water paddling. However the Pack-Tour M is not whitewater strength.
  • Always wash the pieces of your Pack-Tour M with water prior to reassembling. Dirt and debris from the hiking trail or camp can foul its precise fit. If pieces seem difficult to assemble, repeat washing. Do not use lubricants.
